Those sprinter engines are shite. They good for 250k to 300k miles then they die.

Be good to understand cost/benefit. Van has starship mileage but don't know the cost of the secondhand engine (?mileage) vs your 3 x labour costs x hours. Even tho' a 68 plate perhaps cheaper to spares/repair and get another used one instead of what was clearly an awful lot of sweat and expertise. Comments?
